Family Ship
I'm captain of this
family ship... sailing uncharted waters into the future... shipmates
are my two kids looking to their father captain... thinking he knows
where he is going... I lost sight of the shore long ago... tossed by
wind and wave I keep going confident God leads us... Noah had no
rudder on the ark... nor do I in this life venture... kids play
blissfully in the belly of this ship oblivious to the treacherous
waters... my eyes keen on the storms ahead seeking safe harbor...
precious cargo I carry...
All I know is to
keep going on though storms threaten... God leads me... surely He
will protect where He leads...
This world is
hostile causing destruction, loss, failure, and death... my course
is charted by God's word and I sail on against impossible odds...
My mind... my
mind... must be renewed... fed by God's words... lest I stumble fall
and sink... I see light in His word... my guiding star to which my
compass is set… in His word I see the shore... solid ground... a
place of plenty... life in abundance. My soul has cried out for this
land.
While still tossed
by wind and wave my soul is founded by faith on solid ground of
Christ... the anchor of my soul beyond the veil compels me... Jesus
is real and true... “I will not sink nor fail” my mind continues
telling me... it is written... so be it...
