Hi!

I'm so glad that you found me here.  I'm John Hora.  The John Hora that grew up in Hinsdale, Illinois.  Drummer, photographer, Mr. Moss Hill Natural Foods, and now Mr. Barter with the Art of Barter.  Here you will find stories of my life, profiles of special people, galleries of my photographs, and downloads of music from the 1010 Balloon Activities Group, Judah,  my son Justin Hora, Chris Rhodes, Bill Shaw, and other friends.

I've carried around boxes filled with files of negatives, slides, proof sheets, and prints for decades in hopes of one day sharing my images with you all.  Now through the wonder of the internet I finally can.  I am working diligently to post more and more of my photographs from the old days and also my later work.

I've been uniquely blessed to have known many beautiful people and captured so much of our life on film.  You've been in my heart all this time.

Check back often as this web site is in constant development.

Please write to me and let me know that you found me here.  I've lost track of so many of the friends from my youth and miss you dearly

Love always,

John

P.S. Heartfelt thanks to Jennie Cheney for the countless hours helping scan my photographs, being a marvelous editor, and for rescuing the last remaining 1010 tape.  "Love You All Time Girl! -   We'll go on and on."

My beautiful sister, Lois McDonald, passed away 11/24/07.  Loie's son Shawn's girlfriend prepared a beautiful slide show of photographs of the life of his mother. Please view it here: http://portfolio.educ.kent.edu/hausera/LoisMcDonaldFinalMovie.wmv
